Homework

Homework is important because it is at the intersection between home and school. It serves as a window through which you can observe your child’s education and express positive attitudes towards your child’s education.  We provide after school opportunities for students to complete assignments if they do not complete them at home.  If your child does not complete his or her homework, they will be required to attend after school homework help.  In homework help, certified teachers are available to assist our students with the completion of assignments.   If your child struggles with completing an assignment, please contact your child’s teacher.

We expect every student to read 20 minutes per day and complete a Read, Reflect and Respond sheet.  The due date for completion of this sheet varies with each grade level

The general rule for the amount of homework a student should have each night is equal to 10 minutes times each year in school.
